ro-ro-rodeo

this weekend jared and i headed up to pinetop, az for some cooler weather, family bonding, and of course, the rodeo. the answer is yes. i hate everything cowboy related, but still loved this vacation. what started out to be a 3 hour drive up turned out to be a little more then that.. all thanks to the rain. we contemplated driving the rocket (thank goodness we didn't listen to me) and for that i am grateful. it was nice having 4 wheels that work and windshield wipers; oh and did i mention no shaking for the whole trip? simply wonderful. it's the little things people.
anyway, after playing with the kids we headed to the rodeo. this, right here, is why i loved it so much:
  • the missionaries were security
  • it costs 10 dollars for the both of us
  • they had navajo tacos. they were delish
  • little and big children in bolo ties. reminded me of my grandpa keith
  • over 80% of the people there were mormons
  • and, it was my very first one with my best friend --cue gaggy noises. you're welcome
it was an amazing experience. plus followed with some fireworks. wonderful.
the entire trip mere offered us her trailor to sleep in, plus she fed us. all weekend. have i ever told you how good she cooks? our sunday consisted of food, napping, church, games, rain, and hilarious comments from the kids and their friends. we really had a wonderful weekend. yay to random getaways :)

and no, i didn't get car sick. surprisingly. utah in a couple weeks... don't hold your breath. here's to some barfing stories  :)
