i decided. i am going to be the worst wife and mom. i STINK at cooking.

see, my mom and grandma and sisters are pro. they can take any random ingredients, put them together... and most of the time they turn out to be something great. why i can't do that you may ask? good question.

STORY:

SO, on friday night one of my best friends carly and i got together and were feeling crafty. we have been addicted to pinterest recently.... bad idea. although, LOVE it way better then fb. lol anyway, so we found this amazing recipe on pinterest:

1 box of devils food cake

2 eggs

1/3 cup of oil

bag of rolos

make up dough. roll around a rolo, place on a greased cookie sheet, and bake in the oven for 7-8 minutes at 350 degrees.

sound easy enough? wrong.

 (my job... unwrap the rolos.)

we made up the dough, it was too crumbly. i got the genuis idea to follow the recipe on the cake mix... since clearly we had to make the batter how it said on the cake mix box. (apparently... that is only for making cake). so we had soup. then, i got the genius idea to add stevens hot coco mix, to dry it up a bit. bad idea. mama suggested more cake mix, but all we had was red velvet. tasted okay, pretty cakey still. but we didn't care. we were determined.

(her job... to mix)

we bake them and sprinkled them with powdered sugar.

they looked like red rolo hockey pucks

and tasted horrible.

so , what did we do with these nasty things? made up a song:

"red rolo pucks

we messed you up

you look disgusting

yeah, real disgusting

needless to say, i am going to be the worst wife and mom ever. i need to learn how to cook. really bad. sorry husband... hopefully you'll love me for other things besides my mad cooking skills :)
