because guys are panzies...

let's give them even more of an excuse. stay tuned for another great singles ward story:

okay, so i really hope that none of you think i hate my singles ward. in fact, i love it. it's full of great people. many who are awkward and everyone for some reason seems to be bald... it's okay because they really are great people. BUT.... we have a problem in our ward. actually, in life. guys don't know how to ask girls on dates. it is such a simple thing. why can't they do it you may ask? ask them. is it because they have been shot down a few times? maybe. and for that... i appologize. are they intimidated? scared? girlish? who knows.

SO... you would think that in the singles ward, they would promote guys to ask girls on dates. right? and fair enough... they do an okay job... but this just frustrated me, along with 15 other girls in our ward on sunday. story:

we were sitting in sacrament meeting, scoping out the boys, (as always of course) when our bishop stands up to conduct. he starts announcing that this tuesday, there will be a swing dancing activity. our thoughts? "awesome, dancing and flipping and spinning can be really fun!" so, we were excited. then he proceeds to say, "it's girls ask guys. so girls, make sure you ask those boys to be your date this evening!"

"WHAT THE HECK? ARE YOU KIDDING ME" said me.  "why are we promoting the fact that guys can't ask girls on dates, so instead girls have to ask them. dumb" --says girl in ward

so, we are boycotting. maybe i sound like a brat, or stubborn... (Well, that's normal) but really? this is just not okay.

so boys, for all the girls sake out there... man up. and ask them on dates. cause it's lame when you don't. trust me. that's a sure fire way to find your wife. it's a proven fact.

that's all.

-side note... had a FABULOUS weekend... more to come later! :) eeeeeeeeeek!
