hi. i am reagan. here are some of the joys of being in the singles ward, OR better yet, a young single adult.
Only as a young single adult:
- is it acceptable to have game nights every night of the week.
- do you hear pick up lines like this "have you seen a shooting star? well, you're looking at one!"
- do you recieve a phonecall you think is from a girl in your ward and it turns out to be a guy. right after you say, "hey girl, what's up?"....and he asks you on a date :)
- do guys call and ask you out right after they break up with 2 of your best friends. yes, dating both at the same time. cool huh?
- do people know you so well they know your dream car from when you were 10.
- are watching disney movies on a sunday night a must
- do you have a wedding reception to attend every week, and the adults ALWAYS ask you "when's yours?"
- do people feel the need to share things from their past they probably shouldn't share... like: "i used to be a cutter." or "one time i thought about commiting suicide." ....probably not stuff you would normally share.... but apparently that rule doesn't apply.
- do you continue to go to YSA parties... thinking they will be good... and every time you are let down. yet, you still never learn.
- do you have conversations with guys such as (in a real deep voice... picture it....) "do you like fast cars? i drive a really fast one. i have gotten it to go up to 140. wanna take a drive?"
- do you meet some of the nicest people who would do anything for you.
