concerts, wishes, and shooting stars

is it weird that 2 years ago i was in high school? 2 YEARS?!?!?!

and people wonder why i think i am  getting old.

wednesday night=Highland High School Winter/Alumni Concert. Alum=me. i was stoked. this year i got to go and sing right next to my little stud of a brother mckay. he's cool. and has perfect pitch... therefore, he sings really well.

now me, not so much. see all of my best friends were in choir... and i am pretty sure rita (yes, we are on a first name basis... jealous much?) only put me in concert choir and Advanced Vocal Ensemble because of them. cause really? taking me away from all of my friends for 2 hours would have just been cruel. secretly she probably turned down my mike, and she always seemed to put me by really good people, maybe to help drown out my voice ;) but none-the-less, i am proud to say i was in choir for all 4 years and loved every minute of it. wait, that's a lie. some days i hated it. and her. and the cheesy things she used to make us do... like breathing exercises with eachother, or dancing, or clapping and snapping... but through all the cheesiness... it was still loads of fun. And now, i get to watch mckay go through all of that too. he's a senior this year, and wednesday marked the last time he will ever sing still,still,still as a member of the Highland High School Concert Choir. --cue awwwww's now--

so, since that's the song all the alum sing too... i got to go stand next to him and sing my little heart out. i forgot how to sing well. eh... no big deal.

Also... tomorrow = friday. I am hoping for a letter tomorrow...and a good one at that. keep your fingers crossed for me. okay? awesome thanks.

ps... Aly Weech and I went on a drive the other night and saw 5 shooting stars. yes, that was the first time in my entire life i have EVER seen a shooting star. probably because i never go out to the lake or out there (bush highway status) at 10 at night... but we did. and it was a blast. we talked. made wishes. drank hot chocolate. easily a top 10 night ;)
